Tres Leches Cake

So… what is Tres Leches, exactly?

It’s a light sponge cake soaked in three milks, then finished with a soft, airy topping. Moist, milky, and celebratory — without being heavy.

How many people will it serve?

Here’s an indicative guide (it always depends on how generous you slice):

• 15cm (6") → serves 6–8 (or 8–10 petite dessert slices)
• 20cm (8") → serves 10–12 (or 14–16 petite slices)
• 25cm (10") → serves 16–20 (or 22–26 petite slices)
• Cake Tray → serves 12–16 (or 16–20 petite slices)

Tip: if you’re feeding a hungry crowd (or you want seconds), size up.

Can I order for tomorrow or collect today?

We need a minimum of 5 days lead time. Ordering in advance is a must. We don’t do next-day cakes and we don’t keep cakes in stock for same-day pick-up. Everything is handmade to order.

Where do I collect from?

From Ivanhoe on selected days and Thornbury once a month on a Sunday. The available dates show during checkout, so you can choose a day that suits you.

Do you deliver?

Yes - we deliver across Melbourne metro and up to 50km from our baking studio. Delivery is available on selected dates; you can choose a suitable option at the checkout.

Can I pay on collection?

We don’t take payment on collection - full payment is required when you place your order.

How should I store and serve the cake once I’ve collected it?

Keep it refrigerated in its box. Tres leches is a chilled cake and it likes to stay cold. For the neatest slices, cut it cold. For a softer, creamier bite, let it sit out for 30–45 minutes before serving.

Can I freeze it?

Freezing isn’t recommended. The milk-soaked sponge can change texture once thawed.

Does the cake contain allergens?

Yes - it contains dairy, eggs, and gluten (wheat) and it’s made in a kitchen that handles other allergens, so no traces can’t be guaranteed.

Do you offer gluten-free?

Yes - there’s a gluten-free option available. Just include a request in the comments section at the checkout.
